Dr. Ronald Tello-Marzol, affectionately known as "Ronaldo" within the Latino community, has an illustrious journey marked by his dedication to empowering and uplifting Hispanic individuals and businesses in Delaware.


As the owner of Delaware Hispano Magazine for the past 10 years, Dr. Ronaldo Tello has been at the forefront of providing crucial information on education, health, financial empowerment, community events, and resources to local Latinos. This print publication has received several local and national recognitions and has become one of the most important tools to unite and engage the Hispanic community in the region. His leadership extends beyond the media; he spearheaded the Delaware Hispanic Awards since 2016, the largest award ceremony recognizing Hispanic businesses in the region, celebrating over 200 Latino small businesses. 


Dr. Tello's entrepreneurial spirit is further exemplified by his graduation from the SBA Emerging Leaders program and his receipt of the StartUpAfrica Award as Social Entrepreneur of the Year and the Hispanic Choice Award as Business Person of the Year. He was inducted into the Hispanic Wall at Delaware Technical Community College and received a Hispanic Heritage Month award by NASCAR. He has received multiple recognitions from the Delaware General Assembly, from New Castle County Government, and from Council of the City of Wilmington. These accolades highlight his innovative approaches and impactful contributions to the business community.


In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Dr. Tello is a dedicated nonprofit leader with a certificate in nonprofit leadership from the University of Delaware. He founded the Hispanic American Association of Delaware and the Delaware Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He has more than 15 years of experience as a psychotherapist and clinical director of mental health programs. His Ph.D. research helped increase the understanding of the challenges Hispanic immigrants face in Delaware and best ways to support them. He founded Hispanic Personal Development LLC in 2017, a business dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for growth and development within the local Latino and immigrant community.


Dr. Tello’s commitment to social entrepreneurship and community leadership resulted in his nomination to serve as President and CEO of the Delaware Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2024. His extensive background, recognized by numerous awards and honors, underscores his ability to drive positive change and advocate for the Hispanic community.


An Afro-Latino immigrant from Lima, Peru, Dr. Tello's journey in the U.S. began as a missionary in 2002. He has since made significant contributions through various roles, including his work with the Franciscan Volunteer Ministry and the Delaware Hispanic Commission. His efforts in workforce & business development, mental health advocacy, and community organization have left an indelible mark on the Delaware Latino community.


Dr. Tello's influence extends to social media, where he is a motivational speaker and influencer with a Facebook following of over a quarter million (Dr. Ronaldo Fe). His bilingual seminars and conferences have empowered countless individuals, focusing on personal improvement, business coaching, diversity, and spirituality.


Living in New Castle County, Delaware, with his wife Maria and their three daughters, Dr. Tello continues to inspire and lead with passion and dedication. His unwavering commitment to the Latino community, combined with his entrepreneurial acumen and nonprofit leadership, positions him as the ideal leader for the Delaware Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
